A big thank you to the Kibbutz Gan Shmuel Tennis Club and the Menashe Municipality for hosting our children from Jisr a Zarqa and Faradis for a wonderful joint Jewish-Arab tennis event!

It was our second party, after hosting a similar one for pre-school Jewish-Arab children in our clubhouse in Moshav Beit Hanania.

We enjoyed a Hanukkah lighting ceremony, doughnuts, and special gifts for the kids.
As one of our young participants said on the bus ride back, “Now I know why the Jewish children love Hanukkah so much!”

A perfect example of how shared experiences build understanding and joy between communities.

Beyond tennis we have so many activities now taking place in our tennis and community club, from a Jewish-Arab mother-and-baby group in the mornings, twice-weekly oversubscribed mothers’ tennis classes in the evenings, film screenings and evening workshops on healthy eating, cooking, body image, and empowerment for tween girls.

Starting later this month, we’ll also launch a teen girls’ leadership program in Hebrew for Arab girls, as well as a Jewish-Arab pop-up coffee shop for women in the community.
