Dear Jenny
We are all safely back in Israel – Lee landed in the early hours of this morning – and I take this opportunity on behalf of all three of us to thank you hugely for everything you did to make sure that our experience in London would be as smooth and as successful as possible.
You planned the Bushey shul event so well with the right amount of advance publicity to have a well filled hall, and managed to ensure that the Rabbi’s requests were fulfilled as he asked. The Cumberland Club event went off like clockwork, and you kept your cool when our video screening looked like it might not happen, and then it did. The way you planned every element, keeping your guests interested and entertained, with the variety of speakers and the two videos showed how we could and should be planning our own future events, whether in Israel or abroad. Most importantly, the event started on time and ended on time – that was also impressive.
You so wisely spread the invitation net as widely as you could for the House of Commons event, and the fact that we had an MP no-show (how could anyone have known that this would be the day Starmer would announce his resignation) didn’t spoil the event in any way, with guests from such a variety of organisations, and another plus, mostly from the younger generation. That event too could have teetered on the edge of a total success but you managed to outplay the London transport gremlins to arrive at the absolutely right moment.
Because of you, your energy, your fundraising and your planning, we would be informing the hundreds if not the thousands of supporters, friends and followers of Talk Matters and FKI of your three successes in London and the work of our organisations. The invitation to the House of Commons was a marvellous coup, David Simmons MP missed out!
Much as we admired you before, you shot up even higher in the admiration stakes having pulled off not only three marvellous events, but to have given us the opportunity to arrange our own events in Bristol and London, and to spread the word to an even greater audience.
We look forward to seeing you again, whether here or there, and wish you continued success and growth for a future in which we all fervently believe.
Warmest regards
