Amidst unimaginable loss, over 85 new Palestinian and Israeli families have joined the Parents Circle since October 7, 2023. They are united in their grief, and in their commitment that this must be the last war, that there will be no more needless deaths.

Joining the PCFF at this critical juncture demands courage, an unwavering belief in peace, and exceptional determination.   We are humbled to introduce you to the newly bereaved. These members, profoundly impacted by trauma, will emerge as some of the most compelling voices for peace among both Israelis and Palestinians.

Over the next few weeks you will get to know the newest faces of Parents Circle, starting today with Mor and Ghada…

Mor Ynon, bereaved Israeli daughter: “We must pursue peace with unwavering determination and a commitment to equality, justice, and security for everyone…”   Continue reading

Ghada Zolmot, bereaved Palestinian wife, daughter in law, and niece: “I believe women are essential in peacebuilding, and I am determined to empower their voices in this ongoing struggle…”   Continue reading

New programme: Women’s Group

When we met, it was a testament to the power of authentic personal connections, leaving us with a sense of belonging and a commitment to continue working together for real change. The Women’s Group is one of many new programs and activities the Parents Circle is building to include space for us and over 85 newly bereaved families.   We need your help. Make a donation today to support the movement for reconciliation and peace.

After over a year of war, our Women’s Group finally had its first joint, in-person meeting.   The meeting, held at the Parents Circle’s offices in Beit Jala, allowed us— 14 bereaved members, widows, mothers, and daughters on both sides of the divide — to connect face-to-face for the first time. It provided an opportunity to share, support each other, discuss difficult issues, and experience a connection that is nearly impossible to create between Israelis and Palestinians these days.   Allow us to introduce ourselves. We created these video illustrations to help tell our unique stories:

“I am Liat Atzili. My partner Aviv and I built a life and a family on Kibbutz Nir Oz. On October 7th, 2023 a quarter of our kibbutz was either killed or taken hostage… including me and my husband.” > Watch video

“I am Hala Al-Bukhari, living in Jerusalem. My daughter, my sister, and her large family live in Gaza. On the morning of October 18th, 2023 came harsh news: my sister’s house was bombed…” > Watch video
