At Hand in Hand, we are always looking for new ways to bring together Jews and Arabs in meaningful encounters. This is how the Hand in Hand Student Community was born. Launched at the start of this year, this pilot program brought together a dozen Jewish and Arab university students to live, learn, and volunteer together in Jerusalem. Over the course of the year, participants honed their leadership and activism skills together, and formed a wonderful joint community. They engaged in dialogue, volunteered with local schools, and planned their own activism initiatives. We are certain they will go on to do valuable things, promoting change in Israeli society. Read more… Support Hand in Hand HAND IN HAND’S JOINT KNESSET CONFERENCE ON INTEGRATED EDUCATION Earlier this month, Hand in Hand coordinated an important conference in the Knesset on the necessity of integrated education, sponsored by MK Gilad Kariv. The conference was an enormous success, with dozens of participants and speakers including students, educators, staff, and board members from Hand in Hand and other shared education organizations in Israel.
