Spirit of the Galilee works towards the advancement of pluralism, mutual understanding and cooperation between various denominations, religions and cultures of the region, Arabs and Jews alike.
They are invested in building a shared society here in the Galilee, as a model for the entire country, the region, and the world.
It is jointly run by a Rabbi and a Priest, and is a home to over 6 religions and even more denominations and traditions that live in the Galilee. Participants study together, sing and pray together and bring communities closer.
Rabbi Leora Ezrachi-Vered is the full time Director. She is a third generation Jerusalemite with deep interest in Interfaith Relations, Rabbi Leora works with the religious leaders of six different faiths and with local communities and schools. Projects include musical events, interfaith tourism and study groups.
